Driving Business Results
Employees engaged through the WOLF network, both in the US and emerging markets, help Best Buy address:
- Engagement. Increase participation in WOLF programs and initiaives among employees, particularly with female associate in our stores. Over five years, several thousand employees and individuals have engaged with WOLF and its programs.
- Retention. We provide development and leadership opportunities to help decrease voluntary turnover of female employees across the business. From fiscal 2005 to fiscal 2008, companywide turnover reduced by 2% — while female turnover reduced by 5%.
- Profitable Market Share. Through female customers, we look to increase Best Buy's market share in consumer electronics, technology and related services. Best Buy reached its all-time high female market share in FY09.
